Five dams in Sicily for Technital

from Achille Ottaviani – 4 June 2021

After a long battle, disputes and various appeals to the Administrative Justice Council of the Sicily Region [promoted through his own lawyer Attorney Daniele Sterrantino] the Veronese Technital Spa of the Mazzi Group, will draw up the management plan for five colossal reservoirs behind five dams in Sicily. They are those of Furore, Arancio, Gorgo, Paceco and San Giovanni. There is great satisfaction in the historic headquarters in via Carlo Cattaneo.

Technital is a joint-stock company founded back in 1964 specializing in engineering services for large works, providing consultancy services for public administrations and private individuals. It is one of the largest and oldest Italian engineering companies and occupies a prominent position internationally.

Among the main engineering consultancy companies in Italy, Technital is a dynamic company whose sectors of activity concern transport infrastructures (roads and motorways, railways, inland waterways, urban transport, ports and airports), hydraulics (systems purification and desalination, dams, sewerage, waste water treatment), maritime and coastal engineering, environmental and health engineering (landfills, recycling plants, incinerators and waste-to-energy plants), construction and architecture.

In the Veneto it was one of the protagonists in the construction of the Mose. In Verona the latest important commitment in chronological order is the rebuilding of the Salionze dam which regulates the flow of the waters of Lake Garda into the Mincio river.

The Sicilian dams add to the large works carried out by Technital at an international level where the Verona-based company has been awarded large projects by public and private clients and with financing provided by international economic bodies. Great satisfaction for the sole administrator Alberto Scotti for the result obtained in Sicily as well as that of the engineer Simone Venturini technical director of the company.
